Recycle!!!!

I learnt about environmentally friendly practices in my school. I was around ten years old. In that moment I realized how important is adopt this practices to our life, like recycling. So I told to my mom the importance of do this practices, specially recycling. My mother thought it and since that day my family have done this practice of take the different kind of paper and separate them, like in one part the newspapers, in other part the white papers, in other magazine papers, etc. Also we separate the garbage, the organic trash in one part, the plastic in other and the carton trash in other, but we have taken care about some box that are of carton but inside has one metallic layer. Some people say that we turn fussy talking about garbage, but is important for our world that is our home. Also we take the soda and beer cans of the street, then we smash them and collect in our house untill we have a lot and sell them, the same as we do with the papers. We don't gather too much money, but we know that all that material is going to be recycle and then reuse.
About use a bike...I do, but in Viña del Mar was easier than in Santiago. Why? Well in Viña we have different places with cycle lines and the city is little in comparison with Santiago. And I was closer to my school or other places I like going. But here in Santiago, I'm living isolated of the university and the cicle lines aren't enough to the size of the city. But also in Viña del Mar I have ussually gone in car when my family go to a far place.
I haven't joined or supported any eco-organization because sometimes I think that they aren't doing well.
Also the most important is very aggressive.
I would like make different stuff with recycle things, like lamps, notebooks, earings or other things. And also teach to other people about the benefits of that practices.
I don't know if I have done something to reduce my carbon footprint, but I think that every little thing that helps to the environment reduce the carbon footprint of everyone, so yes.
I think that in our society is really missing the recycle issue, because in some schools teach about this and even if I separate my trash in the rubbish dumps everything is going to combine, so actually we cannot recycle well. I have supportted the idea of the goverment must create a project of recycle and use this trash in energy or other thing.

Vote for your opinion

The next presidential election I'm going to vote. I think is important as a citizen do it, because you are deciding the person who is going to take different decisions in all situations that affect you, your family and friends, so is very important. Other think that I consider important about voting is that  you are giving your opinion in a certain point of view about the candidates, so in that way if you don't vote, you can't judge the decision of the rest of the country.
About electoral campaigns, I think that are exhausting because they stuff the entire city with banners and them faces are everywhere, even if it is unnecessary!!! And in TV, their jingles are fun just for a couple of days, but then are so annoying, except the jingle of your candidate, also they are in TV around a half of hour. But when the election day is coming they turn into tedious political material.
A person who is going to postulate for a public position must has some qualities. He/She must be likeable first, if you don't like to the people you must heed that you don't going to win. Also that person has to adopt an strong attitude when the moment demand and be responsible too. And also that person must to consider in its decision to everybody, not just a few number of people.
If you ask me If I want to becoming a politician, my answer is going to be a definitive "NO!". Be one means a lot of work, responsibility and I'm not going to do maybe one thing I love it...waste time with my family and friends as I do it right now.
Well, I'm from Viña del Mar and in that city we have and important mayor: "Virginia Reginato". So you can see in banners the candidates next to her...all candidates do it. It's like a sure way to win if you have a photo with her, but everybody knows that were fixed. It's stupid that! I don't know why the candidates don't do something interesting, maybe other kind of photo or banner. And I hate seeing in every street-light one banner!! They must take away the plant pot of the street-light to put the stupid banner that in a few days is going to be destroyed. We have a beautiful city and the banners destroy that beauty! But one thing I hate it most is that after the elections the banners stay there for a ling time. I hope you understand me how annoying are banners and some jingles, that is all...Bye.

The Gilded One

Today I read an article about an exhibition in the British Museum that wants to reveal to the world about Colombia's pre-Hispanic cultures. Everybody knows that "El Dorado" was in the past the city that a lot of adventurers wanted to find for the supposition of fact that the entire city was made of gold and in that way became rich. But the British Museum wants show to everybody the culture that inspired this legend who doesn't want to pass away. The exhibition has 300 objects from the "Museo del Oro" in Bogotá, with other objects from the British Museum.
For the pre-Hispanic culture that inhabited in Colombia the gold had a mystical meaning, for that people the gold was related with the supernatural, said Elisenda Vila Llonch, maybe was related to the sun.  This people lived is small communities and didn't write about their activities, but the Spanish adventurers who encountered them, wrote about what they saw. One of the thing that the adventurers saw was a ritual where a man covered with gold dust, floating in the lake in a raft with gold ornaments and emeralds. Then the person would through the cast to the gods. But the archaeologist said that the observers were unseeing by the flash of the metal precious, and they didn't see the other valued materials for the Andean people, like ceramic, featherwork, shells and textiles.
Although the pre-Hispanic culture thinked that the ceramic, shells and other objects were important than the gold, the museum has the gold objects like the main draw, objects like pots, head-dress and jewelry. In other section are the gold objects used to communicate with the spirit world, the animal world.
In the article said that the music was also important so in other section has a flute made of gold and objects similar to pots but were shakers. Also drugs were very important, they have gold pins with different designs, they dipped into vassels with lime and then licked. Other body ornaments helped to give the appearance of an animal to the person, the archaeologist said that the gold would transform the people into powerful animals and they could see different points of view of the world.
Elisenda Vila Llonch wants that the culture that inspired the myth, might come to light.

Backstreet Boys and Pentatonix

All my life I have listened to the Backstreet Boys. They are an American band from Orlando, Florida, formed by five handsome men, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough, Alexande McLena known as A.J. McLean, Nick Carter and Kevin Richardson, they ages are 38, 40, 35, 33 and 42, respectively. The first integrants of the group were Howie and A.J, after their agent called to Nick who was justhirteen. Then the agent talked with Kevin Richardson, but the the agent felt that someone else was missing so Kevin called his cousin Brian who participed in the Church choir. In 1992, the band was ready to get into the music industry. But was in 1995 when they made their first single "We've got it goin' on" that launch onto the market (One year after my birth). Since that year they get into the media, made 3 albums more and different concerts around the world, actually they came to the "Festival de Viña" in 1998.
In 2002 the band had problem with their discography, A.J said that had problems with drugs and the boys decided try with their solo career in the industry. After three years of hiatus they backed with a new album "Never Gone", but in 2006 Kevin left the band to pursue his acting career.
The band just with four of the five original integrants continued and made two albums "Unbreakable" and "This is us". They made two concerts in Chile, one 2009 with the "Unbreakable Tour" and the other in 2012 with "This is us Tour" (I went with my old sister to both).
In 2011 they reunited with "New kids on the block" other American band of the 80' and made an album together. Last year the band communicated that Kevin returned to the band and they are going to made other album. This year they present the new album "In a world like this". They play pop, pop rock and R&B.
I like this band for the music that they play and because I listened them since I was born, actually my sister is a big fan within me. My favourite song now is "Permanent Stain" because talk about how a person that you love is always going to be in your heart.

And my new favourite band is Pentatonix!!! They are amazing and very famous in America. They won the third season of "The Sing-Off" (yes, they are an Acapella group). The group is formed by Scott Hoying, Kirstie Maldonado, Mitch Grassi (they grown up together), Avi Kaplan and Kevin Olusola. Scott met Avi through a mutual friend and the trio (Scott, Kirstie and Mitch) found Kevin in youtube. Scott was whom pursue to participate to his friend in "The Sing-Off"and were in their first day of audition when all the integrants met each other. They sing different kind of songs of famous people and made their own music. I love this group because they make music just with their mouth, nothing of instruments and my favourite song is "Evolution of music", because they sing different songs passing through the years.

First Musical

The day that I always going to have in my mind was the day that I participated in my first musical in High School... Jesus Christ Superstar!!! It was Easter time so the musical was related to that especial week.
I remember was Thursday, one day before Easter holidays, and my teacher was crazy with the preparation of the stage, music connections and with the people who had a part in the musical, that means a lot of things in his mine, but I was his secretary so I supported a lot with the preparations in special with the Choir guys, the soloists and the band guys while my teacher was worried of  the rest.
We was the whole day putting the finishing touches to the songs, decorations on the stage, the clothes we were going to wear and calming the waters to everybody.  We started practicing to the musical since the first day we back to classes that was around March 3rd of 2009, but equally wasn't enough time to prepare well a musical, so for that were people nervous.
The presentation was at night, was cold and that is bad for singing, but for lucky we was in a warm place.
The School's gym was full, first the teacher talk to the audience a little bit about the musical and the work that everybody did to make it, then the lights turn off and just some color lights on the stage illuminated it. The Choir was in the back of the audience ready to the powerful entrance. The band and teachers playing the introduction an then... POW!! The Choir (where I was) ran and screamed to the stage...that moment was AMAZING! You release all the tension you have before and you're ready to sing.
The musical was awesome, actually is awesome if you realize that you did it well. I had a great time and know that my partners and the public too, since that day I love participating in musicals of all kind. We presented the musical in different parts since there, the last time that I participated in that musical was this year in April.
I can't describe to you more about the musical, you must see it because it is really fun and the story-line is so powerful that make you see it again.
